2. BROKER

6 min read

To use Deusbot, you need a MetaTrader 4 trading account with a broker. If you already have a live MT4 account, start by checking whether your current broker is suitable .
If you do not have a suitable broker account, continue to Why we recommend FxPro .

You can begin with a demo account while you learn and test the setup, or use a live account once you are ready to use real funds. Your funds remain with your broker at all times. Deusbot does not receive, hold, or manage client funds.

Already have your own broker?

Opening a new broker account is optional. You can continue with your current broker if it meets the following requirements. Otherwise, proceed to the next section to open an account with our recommended broker.

Your existing broker account is suitable when

  • It provides MetaTrader 4 accounts and allows Expert Advisors.
  • It offers CFDs for the S&P500, DAX40, and CAC40 indices. Symbol names can vary between brokers, such as US500, GER40, or FRA40.
  • Its minimum values per point result in a level of risk you are comfortable with.

How to find the minimum value per point

The easiest option is to ask the broker’s support team: What is the minimum value per point available for CAC, DAX, and SPX on my live MT4 account?

You can also check it in MT4. Demo and live accounts may use different trading conditions, so use your live account whenever possible.

  1. Press Ctrl+M to open Market Watch, right-click the broker’s CAC, DAX, or SPX symbol and select Specification.
If the symbol is not visible, select Symbols, search for it, and double-click it to add it to Market Watch.
  2. Calculate Minimum value per point = Minimal volume × Tick value ÷ Tick size.
In some MT4 installations, Tick value is labelled Tick price.
  3. Repeat these steps for all three indices.

Check the broker sizing in the Deusbot calculator

  1. Open the Deusbot calculator and go to 2 – SETUP.
  2. Enter the balance you plan to allocate and select your preferred exposure preset.
  3. Compare the calculated CAC, DAX, and SPX values per point with the minimum values allowed by your broker. If the broker minimums are equal to or lower than the calculated values, it can support the selected setup.
  4. If the broker imposes a higher minimum for an index, disable AUTOMATIC SIZING and enter that minimum value manually.
  5. Review the resulting RISK EXPOSURE. Then open 5 – PERFORMANCE and pay particular attention to the Maximum Drawdown.

If your existing account supports suitable position sizes, you can skip the FxPro sections below and continue to the next guide to choose where Deusbot will run.

Why we recommend FxPro

If you do not have a broker account, or if your current broker does not provide suitable position sizes, we recommend FxPro for use with Deusbot.

FxPro has provided online trading services since 1999 and operates internationally through several regulated entities. The entity responsible for your account, the applicable rules, and the protections available depend on your country of residence.

FxPro states that client funds are kept separate from the company’s own funds in segregated bank accounts.

The main reason we recommend FxPro for Deusbot is its flexible position sizing. Its MT4 accounts allow particularly small trade sizes on the CAC, DAX, and S&P 500, making it easier to match the position sizes and risk exposure selected in the Deusbot calculator.

Deusbot Trading has no partnership or affiliate relationship with FxPro and receives no commission if you open an account with them.

How FxPro accounts work

To use FxPro with Deusbot, you first create an FxPro Direct profile. From this profile, you can then create and manage one or more MetaTrader 4 trading accounts.

1

FxPro Direct profile

This is your main FxPro account-management area. You use it on the official FxPro website to complete verification, upload documents, create trading accounts, manage funds, and download MetaTrader 4.

2

MT4 trading account

Each trading account has its own account number, trading password, and server name. You will use these details to connect to the account through the MetaTrader 4 application.

You can create a demo MT4 account to prepare the setup with virtual funds, or complete verification and create a live MT4 account when you are ready to use real funds.

Open an FxPro Direct profile

Start at fxpro.com and select Register or Open Account.

  1. Enter your personal details, country of residence, email address, and choose a secure password.
  2. Provide your residential address and the additional information requested about your occupation, financial situation, trading experience, and CFD knowledge.
  3. If FxPro asks you to configure a trading account during registration, select MetaTrader 4.
  4. Complete the registration and check your inbox for emails from FxPro. Keep your profile and trading account details secure, as you will need them later.

Choose your next step

  • Start with virtual funds: continue to the optional demo-account section below.
  • Prepare a live account: skip the demo-account section and continue directly to Verify your profile for a live account .

OPTIONAL — Create an MT4 demo account

A demo account uses virtual funds. It allows you to prepare your broker setup and become familiar with MetaTrader 4 before using real money. You can create one before completing verification or while waiting for your profile to be verified.

  1. Log in to FxPro Direct and open the Accounts area.
  2. Choose the option to create a new Demo account for MetaTrader 4.
  3. Choose the available base currency and leverage settings. Where possible, use the same currency you expect to use for your future live account.
  4. Set the virtual balance close to the amount you may later allocate to Deusbot, then create the account.
FxPro will provide the MT4 login, password, and server for the demo account. Keep these details, as you will use them to connect to the account in MetaTrader 4.
If you want to use the demo account for now, continue to the next guide. You can return to the live-account sections below whenever you are ready to use real funds.

Verify your profile for a live account

You only need this section when you want to use real money. FxPro requires your profile to be verified before you can fully use a live trading account.

Documents commonly requested

  • A valid passport, national identity card, or driving licence to verify your identity.
  • A recent proof of residence showing your name and address, such as a bank statement or utility bill, if requested.
  1. Log in to FxPro Direct and open My Profile, the verification area, or the document-upload section.
  2. Upload the documents requested by FxPro and follow any additional verification instructions shown in your account.
  3. Wait for the verification status to update before continuing with the live account setup.
  4. Once verification is complete, continue to the next section to locate or create your live MT4 account.

Locate or create your live MT4 account

After your profile has been verified, open the Accounts area in FxPro Direct. If a live MetaTrader 4 account was already created during registration, you can use it. Otherwise, select Open New Account and choose MetaTrader 4.

Settings FxPro may ask you to choose

  • Account type: choose one of the MT4 account types available for your profile. Deusbot does not require a specific FxPro account type.
  • Base currency: where possible, choose the currency you expect to use when funding the account.
  • Leverage: the available options depend on your country and account classification. Choose only a setting you understand.

Once the account has been created, FxPro will provide its MT4 login, trading password, and server name. These credentials are separate from your FxPro Direct login and will be used later to connect to the account in MetaTrader 4.

Fund the live MT4 account

Before depositing, use the Deusbot calculator to test the amount you plan to allocate and review the resulting risk exposure. Open 5 – PERFORMANCE and pay particular attention to the Maximum Drawdown before deciding how much to fund.

Once your FxPro profile is verified and your live MT4 account has been created, log in to FxPro Direct and select Deposit. The available payment methods and funding process may vary depending on your country and the FxPro entity serving your account.

1

Make the deposit

Choose an available payment method, enter the amount you decided to allocate, and follow the instructions shown by FxPro.

2

Make the funds available in MT4

If the deposit is credited to your FxPro Wallet, use Transfer to move the required amount from the Wallet to your live MT4 account. If the funds were deposited directly into the trading account, no transfer is required.

Once the funds are visible in your live MT4 account, your broker setup is complete. Continue to the next guide to choose whether Deusbot will run on a Windows VPS or temporarily on your personal Windows computer.
